FUGA Mountain Club is the world's largest global trail running programme, with over 500 runners across the world.
2017
FUGA Mountain Club was founded. In just a few short months, we brought together local, passionate trail runners.
We even had our first meet-up, at the start line of Chongli 168, China - with a few athletes battling their way for a podium position.
2019
FMC made their first international appearance, at the UTMB Final in Chamonix, France.
2021
FMC launched in Thailand - the beginning of our first international chapter.
2023
FMC expanded, going from dozens of passionate trail runners to over 200 in just a year.
2024
FUGA launched a female coach-led campaign, welcoming women to the trails.
2025
FMC launched in Europe. We had hosted our first international meeting of FMC Global in China, at the start line of Ultra Trail Mt Siguniang, China.
We have already organised over 100 training camps, bringing over 2000 runners into trail. Our network of coaches globally have created bespoke training plans for the FUGA team and the public to join. In 2025, 50 runners participated in a 6-month holistic science-driven training plan, giving access to professional advice in product, trail, nutrition and recovery. In 2025, FUGA supported YeahGo Training Camps, founded by our FMC member in China.
We launched China's first women's only trail race in 2024. Since then we have coordinated trainings with our FMC female coaches in China, France and the UK, reaching over 1000 runners. Our FMC runners play a key role attending these events and promoting trail through their online presence. FMC's 2026 recruitment goal is to be 40% women, raising the bar for gender equality in the industry. This year sees the launch of a female-only 'Talent Team' made up of five rising stars from Italy. FUGA provides them with access to specialists focusing on women's trail and training opportunities.
